A genius inventor crippled by polio. Rusk was victimized by business interests, notably Clement Technologies, who marketed Rusk's discoveries but refused to pay him agreed-upon profit shares. Incensed, he constructed a robotic body and had his brain transplanted into it, attacking and killing those he felt had wronged him. He salvaged their brains, however, hooking them up to his own in a "gestalt" arrangement to give him greater and faster "computing power."

Braintrust controlled the mob activity in the City Center part of town in the mid 1970s. He used The Dominos as one of his groups of henchmen. He wss one of the leaders who took part in the 1977 Gang War, in which his forces were decimated and Braintrust presumed destroyed.

Powers

His robot body gives great strength as well as the ability to levitate objects.

Observations

He also seemed to incur the wrath of Hellhound, possibly hurting a woman Hellhound cared deeply about.
